Description
EuroFloor is an insulated timber panelling which can be used for attic walkway access and attic flooring
systems. EuroFloor is specially designed to allow house holders to insulate their attic and still use the space for storage. EuroFloor is essential for ensuring that there is safe , secure access from the attic hatch to the tank in the attic. It is comprised of a high density foam insulation which ensures it meets the current building regulations when used in conjunction with existing fiberglass. It is a mandatory requirement under the SEAI's HES Scheme to install an insulated walkway from the attic hatch to the cold water tank or any other appliance that is located in the attic.
EuroFloor Benefits
- Reduces energy costs
- Easy to install
- Provides excellent thermal conductivity
- Moisture resistant
Note:
Ceiling joists are not designed to take a floor landing; loads applied should not be excessive. If loading other than maintenance traffic or light storage is required an engineer should be contacted. |
EuroFloor Installation
- EuroFloor boards should be laid
transverse to the joists.
- Boards easily slot in together and
should be screw fixed for extra
security
- Electrical cables should be
enclosed with a suitable conduit
and ensure that they are
separated from the EuroFloor
boards
